Requested username:

Request reason:

OrangeMike and I have corresponded regarding this issue and he recommended that rather than editing the page, I make recommendations/citation adds to the talk page - noting my conflict of interest - then a person without a conflict of interest can determine whether or not the changes are appropriate. I'm completely willing to do this. Given this shift, would it be possible to change my username to a personal username and unblock the account, so I can make those comments on the talk page?

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. -- Atama 01:27, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the three important principles above.--Orange Mike | Talk 14:23, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I understand that Wikipedia is not for corporate purposes and that I must clearly state my conflict of interest and denote any changes that I would like to see made to pages with which I am commercially involved on the talk page, and not to the content directly. I will only edit directly the pages with which I do not have a conflict of interest, and will, in no way, promote the commercial services of or provide anything that could be seen as marketing for the company by which I am employed. I hope to be a positive contributor to the encyclopedic content across wikipedia, adding only information for which I have reputable sources and about subjects with which I have no commercial interest. I'm inclined to unblock you, based on what you've said above, and contingent on following through with your pledge to request a change of username first, but I will check with Orange Mike first before doing so. -- Atama 22:37, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Orange Mike didn't object so I'll unblock you, and if you stick with what you pledged above your participation will be very welcome. :) -- Atama 01:27, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've requested a username on the required page. Thanks to you both for your help and guidance on this! Vantagepartners (talk) 03:24, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
