Speedy deletion nomination of Hach Company

edit

A tag has been placed on Hach Company requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Userfication of deleted content

edit

Hi Stifle,

I was the editor of the page Hach Company and it was deleted earlier today by you because it meets the A7 deletion criteria. I was going to request for undeletion; however, I read that it is usually unsuccessful. I know there are a lot of other organizational Wikipedia pages so I plan on learning on how they meet Wikipedia's criteria and fixing the Hach Company's page. The Hach Company has a very interesting and long history that I believe is beneficial for Wikipedia. Unfortunatly, I didn't save the source code so I don't have the wikitext markup. I wanted to request a copy of it to be restored to my userspace so that I may work on addressing the concerns about the page and have it not meet the criteria for speedy deletion. I hope you are able to help me out. Also, (if you have the time) I would be so grateful if you could teach me on how to make the article better so that it does not get deleted. I believe my problem is that I need more sources to prove the notability of the article. --Afrost333 (talk) 15:56, 4 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've moved it to User:Afrost333/Hach Company. Try WP:NCHD for help on making sure the article doesn't get deleted again. Stifle (talk) 16:07, 4 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Stifle, thank you for the resource. Is there anyway to receive the wikitext markup? --Afrost333 (talk) 16:09, 4 May 2010 (UTC) Sorry I just saw that you moved it. Thanks for your speedy response! --Afrost333 (talk) 16:10, 4 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

recreating a page similar to the previously deleted page

edit

Hi Stifle, I'm recreating the Hach Company page. You moved it here in on May 4th after deletion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Afrost333/Hach_Company. I've gone in and added much more references. Before uploading it asked me to contact you. I hope I've taken the neccessary steps to make it more notable to be vaild to post live. Afrost333 (talk) 22:02, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

It seems mostly OK to me, although it has perhaps too many external links to hach.com. Stifle (talk) 08:06, 4 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:HachLogo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:HachLogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 01:33, 2 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
