Notability of Adam henshall edit

A tag has been placed on Adam henshall, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --OnoremDil 11:47, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Ark Music Factory edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ark Music Factory, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Acroterion (talk) 01:59, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I did a little tidying of the external references and consolidated one source. The reference formatting could be somewhat improved, and you might have trouble with the YouTube links, since those are disapproved of and might be removed by a bot, but in this case they are integral to the article. You may see an attempt at deletion - there's a deletion discussion for Friday (Rebecca Black song) (that looks like a keep), but it's worth a try. I changed "Ark are" to the American usage "Ark is," since it's an American company, but feel free to put it back if it grates. Acroterion (talk) 20:19, 16 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

nah, i'm fine with you americans defacing our beautiful english language lol. although, i think i changed the referencing again before i'd noticed your message! i dont really know... i'm sure when it goes up, all will work out :) thanks man

I've grown tired of teaching the products of our fine educational system that there are more ways to construct English than what they learned at Possum Trot Middle School. You only need to provide a formatted ref once, if you name it as I did, then you can just cite the name and it shows in the refs as a superscript a b c , making it clear that they're all the same source in the reference list. lol, darn regional variants! i'll see if i can sort the referencing then. i may as well learn something while i'm here :)

Try writing articles on Canadian subjects using Canadian usage - there's no telling what's right. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was "validated by an administrator:" it's just as subject to deletion tagging as any other article, but I do think it's worth a try, and it's not something I'd speedily delete as it presently stands. Acroterion (talk) 20:35, 16 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

cool man, i'll see how it fares. if her single sells well then it suddenly has justification for staying stay up; but otherwise i could see it being tagged fairly soon. we'll see...

Ark Music Factory edit

Hi Adshenshall! First off, I apologize if my initial nomination of ARK Music Factory for deletion seemed harsh. I highly respect your work on the article given your apparently short tenure on Wikipedia. I, like some experienced editors, have never been bold enough to create an article from scratch. I've posted some comments on the talk page for this article expressing my remaining concerns with the article. I look forward to seeing what further improvements you can make. Have a great day!--GnoworTC 22:53, 20 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

thanks man. i've got an essay to write for tomorrow, but i'll give the article some work within the next day or two. thanks for all the advice; my inexperience as a wikipedian hasn't helped lol. i just set the page up for a laugh initially, but it's become pretty interesting messing around with stuff. hopefully i can improve things on the page a little more.
