Request reason:

I believe that I should not be blocked because I am a journalist who has been trying supply specific information an Accredited Premier College (ASIC); in this case I did research on Akamai University. I am very new to Wikipedia and I did not realize that my username affected the perception of my article. I wish to add some basic information about what ASIC is in a real world context and hopefully add useful and well investigated information to wikipedia. I am not doing this to advertise myself or any companies, but to help those who need proper information on specific topics as I do now and when I was still in journalism school. I apologize for not complying to your G11 rule and I will make sure that any and all usernames and information will be and show as good solid need to know historical and current information. Please forgive my blindness to how wikipedia works, my confusion on the rules and the poor instruction I took from colleagues on this matter. I have now read everything I can find about posting to Wikipedia and I hope that you will give me another chance. Thank you! Are you interested in helping to build the encyclopedia without adding any content related to you or your organization? If so, please let me know and I can unblock you. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:45, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Okay, you say this is about journalism. Please tell me, are you getting paid by this organization? Do you work for them? Are you associated with them? Your company? Something like that? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 06:31, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Also, you did not answer the question below: Are you also User:Classic information? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 06:32, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Multiple accounts edit

It seems that you are/were operating the following account(s):

Draft:Akamai University edit

I see Draft:Akamai University exists. It appears that you created it using this account: User:Classic information. Is this true? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:01, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

PLZ Unblock edit

I am not getting paid by anyone, I am currently unemployed and therefore spend my free time practicing my research skills to help others find what they are looking for. I am not associated with them or anyone else, and I do not have a company of any kind. It is the creation of quick and accessible knowledge that I am after. Wikipedia has helped me do everything from find celebrity ages to how to properly use associated press properly. I mentioned above that I am not working (I am taking a break to find my way) and I now have the time help and contribute for others. Also I am not not user: classic information and have never heard of him or her.

best,

Charles Jakob LeMaistre

Okay. I will unblock you. First, what username do you want? You can use User:Chefmustard if you still know the password, or think up a new name. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:07, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

user: Classic information edit

That information does appear to be some of my research, however I did not post it or make that account name. I do live with other people but the only reason I can think that any of them would post my information would be to experiment with Wikipedia. I do not make excuses or lay blame, so to be honest I am not sure how some of my research was put online without my knowing. I have learned to be MUCH more careful with my data throughout the past if that is of any consolation.

Okay. Fair enough. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:07, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Posting edit

Is there a way that I can know whether my post has a biased or advert wring style to it, and is there a way for me to post my ASIC information without being banned from Wikipedia? Many people may say this but I truly would like to participate in sharing what I know and what I learn with others.

Thank you,

C. Jakob LeMaistre

To answer your first question: yes. Write from the perspective of a rival organization. :) Read what you've written from that perspective also. You can also post at the appropriate Wikiproject asking for eyes.
Did you mean BASIC? If so, sure, "just the facts, ma'am" style. See other articles.
Here are some important things to read about:

Thank you for your help edit

I will certainly go through all of that information to avoid any issues in the future. I did mean ASIC (Accredited Premier College). Perhaps with a proper username perhaps I can add the information I have learned about ASIC and how Akamai University functions as as a current development in education and take out some of the information about the university itself. Chefmustard would be great for my username as, yes I do still know the password. I hope the other two will be deleted and no longer follow me in my quest to share knowledge. Thank you for all of your help Anna.

Best,

C. Jakob LeMaistre

I have unblocked User talk:Chefmustard. We cannot delete entire accounts, but if you like, I can blank them and redirect them to Chefmustard. Would that be okay? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 09:05, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
