Batik & WP:EL edit

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. I believe that we have the current guideline of External Links. One thing that we made a strict regulation is a link to commercial sites, blogs, forums, personal webpages, etc., that do not add additional encyclopaedic information, but merely promotion to the websites. You said that the link you'd inserted to Batik is not commercial, but it contains a lot of ads there, which further promotes the site through wikipedia. If you believe that the information inside the website is not yet added in the Batik page, then I suggest you to use it as a source. Take essential facts from that page and use {{cite web}} citation method to point that. In that case, I would not simply delete it, but another question is whether the webpage is reliable or not. Please read also WP:ATT. Thanks. — Indon (reply) — 07:53, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
