Do you still know the link to the site where I can find Humboldt's journal? GBrunelle (talk) 21:01, 2 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hey Gina! If you create a JSTOR account, which is free, you can add certain articles to your "bookshelf." So once you make an account, just search for the Fooden article and then you'll be able to add it. That's the only way I was able to read it! You can call/text me if you want me to walk you through it. 423-7053. Abbymann1 (talk) 21:21, 2 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

1.     Is there a clear structure to the material, i.e., does the organization of the material make sense?

The overall structure, i.e. the three paragraphs works well, however there are several sentence fragments that will need to be reworked to be grammatically correct and make the section more readable.

2.    Is the information presented from a neutral point of view?

Yes, the information generally seems to be from a neutral point of view.

3.    Are citations provided for all the information presented?

Yes, citations are provided, however the last sentence is not cited and probably should include one at the end.

4.    Are the sources reliable?

Yes, the sources are from the bibliography made by the class.

5.    Are the citations complete and properly formatted?

The citations probably need to be changed to superscript number format.

6.     Do you have any suggestions for improvement?

Generally, the structure and the flow work very well. I think some grammatical and sentence structure changes will improve the section.

Overall this piece is very good with a lot of relevant content; though improvements can always be made. Some sentences may be shortened especially in the first paragraph, use fewer commas and more periods. Another small improvement that could be made is better transitions from sentence to sentence as the wording is a little awkward in a few places. The last change that I suggest is changing the way the citations are applied. Instead of waiting to list sources used at the end of each paragraph I suggest citing individually by sentence. These are small, easy edits to make and other than what I have already listed this looks very good. (Natefbennett (talk) 23:25, 8 August 2017 (UTC))Reply
