Alpari

edit

Hi A ward87, thank for joining wikipedia as an editor, however just wanted to explain why I reverted your edits to the Alpari article. I felt the content you added was very promotional and not in accordance with wikipedia guidelines to use a neutral point of view. You are free to add back in any edits you have made, but please have a look at WP:NPOV and WP:Promo for guidance. Sargdub (talk) 01:09, 7 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your feedback.
I'm an employee of Alpari UK, and was merely updating our company facts, due to much of this Wiki page being drastically outdated. Please could you point to where exactly the content was too promotional? We need to update this page, as currently the information is misleading and incorrect.

Hi A ward 87, as an employee of the company its hard to have a neutral point of view and there is always a tendency to put anything in a positive light and use language that puts the company in a good light and remove things that are negative. As an employee there is a danger that there is a conflict of interest and for this reason Wikipedia guidelines say you should not edit pages about yourself or your company. Please see WP:COI for detail. In this case, if you would like to update information, I suggest you put what you feel needs updating on the Talk:Alpari_Group page and ask another editor to make the changes to avoid any conflict of interest.
