Merseyrail City Line rename edit

  • Can you please revert the edits you have made. As the change you have made is not completely correct. The lines ARE operated on behalf of Merseytravel however the "City line" is part of a local network called "Merseyrail" and is also mapped that way. It is not to dispute the facts of who operates it but that this is a branded network. Stations are also branded. Babydoll9799 (talk) 22:43, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Okay, can do ADTelo (talk) 22:48, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • I'm having difficulty doing so - there seems to be a conflict. Are you able to move it? ADTelo (talk) 22:51, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I'm so sorry I've tried to do it but my skills are not so good. I've tried to reverse what I've done. Does it help? Babydoll9799 (talk) 22:53, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think you've changed it from Merseytravel to Merseyside. Sorry that's not correct, it's Merseyrail.Babydoll9799 (talk) 22:55, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I know, I'm trying to fix the conflict with the redirect page but it's not working out. Perhaps it might be better to rope in somebody with more MediaWiki experience because I'm a bit stuck here too ADTelo (talk) 22:56, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I've asked for help - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Editor_assistance/Requests#Can't_seem_to_undo_a_page_move ADTelo (talk) 23:04, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think I have repaired this now.Babydoll9799 (talk) 23:40, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think it may be wise that you slow down your Merseyrail edits as you may be creating conflict on these pages. Are you local? I am not sure you get the network. Babydoll9799 (talk) 23:54, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
It's still broken for me. Yes, I am local. 🔬🚆 | Telo | Talk to me! 01:18, 15 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Short descriptions edit

Hi, it may help you to review the information page for short descriptions (WP:SHORTDESC), noting in particular: editors should bear in mind that short descriptions are not intended to define the subject of the article, but rather to distinguish it from other similarly named articles in search results. Short descriptions provide a very brief indication of the field that is covered, a short descriptive annotation, and a disambiguation in searches (especially to distinguish the subject from similarly titled subjects in different fields) ... A short description is not a definition and should not attempt to define the article's subject nor to summarise the lead. Hope this helps. Thanks. XAM2175 (T) 10:58, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
