Please excuse my rudeness

edit

Hi, ABrownG, you'll likely not be pleased about this but I have suppressed a number of edits to your userspace which reveal too much personally identifiable information about yourself. I've done this per policy and for your own protection and safety on-line as you are a self-declared minor. I'm really sorry about that and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add it. For some useful information on privacy and safety, take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Thanks, and sorry for messing about with your pages - User:Fred Bauder Talk 12:57, 4 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Our notability policy

edit

Hi - I'm the one who deleted your actual article. Wikipedia has it's own guidelines and policies which can be very hard for a new user to understand. Articles need to have what we call 'notability', particularly if they are about people. WP:PEOPLE goes into some details about this, and I'm afraid you just don't qualify. Neither do I, for that matter. We share something in common as I used to do public magic shows a when I was a boy. No Internet though then so I didn't have my own web page! Speedy deletion nomination of Alex Brown-Garcia.com

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Alex Brown-Garcia.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. OnoremDil 23:16, 4 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Enough is enough

edit

I'll add a formal template, but I am blocking you indefinitely until you start discussing here the problems with your editing. 1. We need a statement from you that you will stick to this account and not edit from any other accounts and if you edit logged out in error note that on the article talk page. 2. We need agreement that you won't create any articles directly related to you. One reason is covered above under "Please excuse my rudeness". There is also conflict of interest WP:COI and notability as I mentioned above. 3. You agree not to copy material from other sources - note that changing just a few words still counts as copyvio, your text needs to look substantially different. 4. You agree to start responding to comments on your talk page.

I'll add that thinking about it and despite the fact there was copyvio and the article read like an advertisement and lacked good sources (read WP:VERIFY and WP:RS, Little Creek Casino is notable enough to be an article. Dougweller (talk) 07:59, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for See above. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Dougweller (talk) 07:59, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've also just discovered FYI at Commons. Dougweller (talk) 10:28, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Editor is evading the block via IPs, most recently at Talk:Little Creek Casino Resort where he asked for copyright material to be added. Dougweller (talk) 07:10, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
