Student strike of 1970 edit

Hi there! I've unfortunately had to remove the content you added to Student strike of 1970, as it's unreferenced and based solely off your personal experience. This isn't content suitable for an encyclopedia; they don't contain personal stories or accounts like this. Instead, they contain informative content that's cited by reliable sources and worded to reflect a neutral point of view. See Wikipedia's introduction page for help on how to contribute content that we're looking for. Thanks :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:54, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

April 2019 edit

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Student strike of 1970. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:55, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Please see the response I made to your message. You can do this by clicking here. Thank you :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 06:10, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
To explain, your edit appears to be trying to tell your story of the event (which is apparent when the words "My story:" are added to the beginning of the paragraph you keep adding). This content isn't acceptable for an encyclopedia; your content appears to constitute original research, which isn't allowed on Wikipedia. Again, please see the introduction page for information on how to contribute and what content is accepted for an encyclopedia. Thank you :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 06:13, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
When you say something like “don't delete my edit because this is for a class project”, as you did at Oshwah's talk page HERE, it indicates that you or (even worse) your teacher didn't read and understood Wikipedia rules and policies. Wikipedia is not interested in your project, if the project disrupts Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a large and great project and many people want to add something to it. But if there were no rules, it would soon become the largest dump of trash in the world. Nobody looking at new contribution is obliged to expect the sources will be added soon. On a contrary, one should expect sources are added with the sourced contents. So please kindly remember there's WP:NOHURRY – prepare your WP:SOURCES before you write and add WP:Inline citations with the text when publishing it, instead of adding them to the text later.
Please see the page Help:Referencing for beginners, it provides lots of useful hints, as well as multiple links to more detailed pages on various aspects of choosing and using sources in Wikipedia articles. --CiaPan (talk) 07:35, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
