Weather the responsible party for the Mountain Meadows massacre should be identified as the Mormon church or the militia has been debated many times. If you want to break a 15 year precedent, I suggest you make a compelling argument on the talk page first. Just a quick glance of the talk page archives shows the following discussions about this on [1][2][3][4]. Reading these discussions, and perhaps re-opening one of them if you feel strongly about it BEFORE inserting this content, might just avoid another unfortunate situation of being blocked.
