July 2023 edit

  Hello, I'm The Herald. I noticed that you recently removed content from Planetary science without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

  Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Planetary science, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you.   You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at Planetary science. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 06:13, 23 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

  This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Planetary science, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. — CAPTAIN JTK (talk) 06:15, 23 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Planetary science. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Wikipedialuva (talk) 06:23, 23 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing because of your persistent edit-warring and your persistent belligerent and aggressive approach to other editors with whom you disagree. No matter what the merits or demerits of the edits you make to articles, and no matter how justified or unjustified you may be in your disagreements with other editors, you need to address them with respect, and attempt to resolve matters in an amical and cooperative manner. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  JBW (talk) 09:38, 23 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
