May 2023 edit

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Kajkavian. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Before you start writing your response (if you intend to) — don't do it here. Please use the talk page of the article. Thank you. –Vipz (talk) 21:42, 6 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

That's right, I got into an edit war with you, because you want to change what is written in the sources, and it doesn't say Serbo-Croatian, but only the Croatian language. If it continues to imitate the vandal ip who changed it and changed what is written in the source, I could also report you, because you would violate the rules of wikipedia by inventing something that is not written in the source.93.143.79.158 (talk) 21:49, 6 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please go ahead with that report. Whoever reviews the situation will judge whose conduct was improper. I won't discuss this issue here because Talk:Kajkavian is the adequate place for such discussion. –Vipz (talk) 22:02, 6 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Continue with the edit war and supporting the vandal ip who changed what is written in the source and invented and added something that is not written, and there will be a report.Greeting93.143.79.158 (talk) 22:06, 6 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

[[1]] This is a vandal ip who changed what is written in the source, I just put back what is written correctly and fixed the page so that other users and administrators on wikipedia know what I am talking about.93.143.79.158 (talk) 22:12, 6 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Alexander (2006) you cite uses the term BCS or Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian which means the same as Serbo-Croatian. This information is in the lede of Serbo-Croatian. Furthermore, Alexander clearly indicates that Shtokavian is not a Croatian dialect, but it is spoken in all of the Serbo-Croatian speaking area. As such, it cannot be called a Croatian dialect. I will kindly ask you to revert yourself so that WP:3RR won't be broken. Sol505000 (talk) 22:52, 6 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

In the source[[2]], there is no Serbo-Croatian written there. It says that Štokavian Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian. It is not written here that it is "only Croatian", It is already written that it is also a Croatian dialect. There is no need to invent and add something that is not written in the source.93.143.79.158 (talk) 23:00, 6 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Daniel Case (talk) 02:26, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
