The Bridge (2011 TV series) reverted

edit

Your revision: ...Martin demands that Saga tell him whether August is still alive.
As I wrote in my edit summary, your revision has poor grammar.
The previous copy did not need any correcting.

@Gareth Griffith-Jones: I disagree. Are you saying that "Martin demands Saga to state if August is alive" is grammatically correct? Or more generally, "X demands Y to do Z"? I submit that demand (unlike ask) cannot be used in this way. 86.21.234.75 (talk) 00:18, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Replying.
Q. Is demand a transitive or an intransitive verb?
A. Intransitive verb: To make a demand; to inquire.
A. Transitive verb: To inquire authoritatively or earnestly; to ask, esp. in a peremptory manner; to question.
A. Transitive verb: To require as necessary or useful; to be in urgent need of; hence, to call for.

@Gareth Griffith-Jones: That's not the question I asked, so I'm not sure what point you are attempting to make there. 86.21.234.75 (talk) 18:53, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
