Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Kashmir, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses novel, unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.

Could you please provide explanations of your edits to remove mention of India as a country from bird articles? Thanks, Ucucha 13:39, 19 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Cream-coloured Courser, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. The official name of a country is of little importance in bird distribution ranges. It is unneccessary to mention the long " Islamic Republic of Pakistan" for instance when a nice short name is enough to provide readers with the required information.   This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did to Pompadour Green Pigeon, you will be blocked from editing. Most of the information added seems to be some kind of petty statements about political boundaries. As you know birds know no political boundaries. Some of the birds that you have chosen do not have a ghost of a chance of occurring in the Pakistan region. It does not seem like you are interested in positive contribution here. Note that further disruptive edit will only lead to your blocking. Shyamal (talk) 01:37, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello. You have been making unproductive, unconstructive and undiscussed PoV changes to articles on birds. You have not provided any justification for these changes. Wikipedia uses the terms commonly found in general discourse. In respect of the most common of your changes, Wikipedia uses the common term India to refer to the modern political entity known by that name. It does not use the longer formal name, any more than it refers to Pakistan as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

You are welcome to discuss what naming practices in Wikipedia should be in the appropriate places, such as at the discussions on Naming conventions. But you may not unilaterally override accepted practice here on your own. You have been advised and warned before and you have been blocked from editing twice for this. Since you do not seem to have taken notice of previous advice, warnings and blocks, this matter will be referred to Wikipedia administrators. Imc (talk) 20:03, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
