Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that in this edit to Aix-Marseille University, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 07:46, 3 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Aix-Marseille University. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Serols (talk) 17:46, 4 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Aix-Marseille University and Didier Raoult

FYI: Discussion on WP:BLPN#Aix-Marseille University and Didier Raoult Jim1138 (talk) 18:29, 4 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want the content removed, please discuss why it should be on the BLPN entry. The likely only reason would be that the source is unreliable. If it is indeed a fact and the source meets wp:RS the content probably should stay. See help:talk pages and wp:talk page guidelines. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 18:50, 4 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Also, I moved the controversies section toward the bottom of the page and removed it from Didier Raoult Jim1138 (talk) 18:51, 4 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring notice

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Aix-Marseille University. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Jim1138 (talk) 18:50, 4 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
