Sock talk edit

Hi, you reverted my hatting of the comments at Talk:Turkish Space Agency, here:[1] no need to hat this, these were webhost blocks and the content of edits wasn't disruptive. The hatting was done per WP:BLOCKEVASION and WP:SOCKSTRIKE. Technically the blocks are webhost blocks, but behaviorally the edits to the talk page are certainly by blocked user Shingling334, per WP:DUCK. For example I reported Special:Contributions/212.71.250.215 today at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Shingling334, which led to the block. It's easier for the closing admin to block the IPs as webhosts, rather than make a determination of sockpuppetry on behavior, but that doesn't make it not so. I'm very familiar with the sockmaster, and the behavior is unmistakable, though if you want a full explanation I'd have to do it off-wiki.

The content of the edits is disruptive per WP:BMB. Blocked editors are blocked from editing, and I've reverted their edits accordingly. That also means they're blocked from making edit requests, and such requests should not be taken into consideration by people reading the talk page. They need to be struck and/or hatted to indicate that.

If you'd like to make your own edit request for the same thing, you're welcome to. --IamNotU (talk) 20:59, 7 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

I don't know how you made the connection, or for what purpose. At any rate, removing the help requests perhaps would've made some modicum of sense before they were answered but once they received a reply it was no longer necessary or useful by any stretch of imagination. 78.28.45.169 (talk) 02:04, 8 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
