Source for New Israel Fund backing for Lalum edit

Shalom, Do you have a source for such backing? Ki imanu kel (talk) 13:40, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

See the following two sources on the NIF page:

“The topic has been in the headlines over the past year thanks to the efforts of the NIF family. Last March NIF's flagship grantee Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) successfully petitioned the Jerusalem District Court of Administrative Affairs…”

http://www.nif.org/issue-areas/stories/schools.html

The order followed the High Court's ruling last August to desegregate the school in response to a petition by NIF grantee Noar Kahalacha, which combats ethnic discrimination in ultra-Orthodox educational institutions. The NIF family will continue to advocate on behalf of all disadvantaged groups to ensure equal treatment both in law and in practice. http://www.nif.org/issue-areas/stories/court-orders-emmanuel.html

reverting Hockey's deletion edit

Hi, I looked through the page again, and noticed again that numerous improvements I have made (while logged in as Ki Imanu Kel) have been undone by Hockey's recent edit. An example is the spelling of the various judges, which is completely inconsistent throughout the article. I see that you have started editing the old version that Hockey reverted to. I would rather restore the version he truncated, and edit it so as to respond to his criticisms. Also, the current introduction is completely incoherent. Let me know what you think. I think it is better to avoid more large scale reverts, in either direction. Better to go through and make the changes we see fit. Cut and paste from the history page as you like. The letters from Meirav and Kremolovsky need a better source, I do not want to repost them yet. Please improve the introduction, as you like. I will take a look also. Note how Ynhockey objected to the NIF site as a source when his reverted page has the exact same source! I point this out in the discussion page. I also state that there is no source for the claim that the parents went to th media, or that it became a media "frenzy". Those statements have been erased.

Instead of discussing every point with Ynhockey, let's just go through and make the changes as we see fit, I think.

I do not know how to have email enabled, as you asked - please clarify -Thanks 77Line (talk) 14:17, 25 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Do you have a "my preferences" button at the top of your page, between "my talk" and "my watchlist"? You can enable email there. This is an internal wikipedia tool, in the sense that the sender does not know which email account you are at. Agreed about editing the Emanuel page. Incidentally, the title should probably be changed to something more neutral: "controversy" is not really the appropriate term. How about simply "Beit Yaakov Emanuel"?
