Welcome!

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Shadrack Frimpong, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Note about edit warring

edit

Hi IP,

I hope you've read the above notice on Conflict of Interest editing. Based on the pattern of your edits, I'm guessing you may have a conflict of interest about this subject. Make sure you understand Wikipedia's rules about this. Furthermore, if someone undoes an edit you make, you cannot simply change the article back to the way you like it. We have a process here called bold, revert, discuss. You boldly edited the article. I reverted your changes, listing some reasons why in the edit summary, viewable from the history page. We disagree on what the page should look like, so now we need to discuss what our differing opinions are. If you continue to simply undo these changes, it is possible that your edit privileges could be revoked, as that is called "edit warring" and is not permitted.

If you want to state the birth year was definitively 1991, you must provide a source. I found a source that listed his age as of Sept. 2019 as 28, meaning I can authoritatively state he was born in 1990 or 1991, and that is supported by a reference. You also added In 2017, President Bill Clinton named him to the Clinton Global Initiative Honor Roll, awarded to 18 top young global leaders chosen from a pool of over 8,700 nominations and did not add any sources to corroborate this addition. Circling back to my previous post on COI, you changed In 2019, Frimpong was one of six recipients of the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award... to In 2019, Frimpong was honored as one of six recipients of the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award,... and also added that he was the recipient of another "prestigious" award, and "prestigious" is considered a word to be used very carefully on Wikipedia, as it is often used in empty flattery or promotion of a subject. We have to engage on improving this article. I hope to see your response below. Enwebb (talk) 23:36, 15 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
