- There is no synthesis. The quoted source clearly indicates Ric Ocasek's paternal grandfather, August, was born in Anina Romania and his father, Josef, was born in Skomelno. 73.72.224.164 (talk) 18:49, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- The research was done by H. D. Schmidt, K. Fassbinder & F.-J. Lataretu in the year 2000. It's a published Banat family book and a valid secondary source.
