Montana routes research update
editI have been doing extensive research on the historical Montana state highway maps dating back to 1935, and based on this research, it appears MT 10 and MT 89 have never been assigned. Very rarely has Montana used state route numbers when an active federal route with the same number exists. The only historical exceptions are MT 287 (established before the US 287 designation replacing most of MT 287), 1935-era MT 191 (replaced by US 287) from US 191 to near Three Forks, MT 87 (nowhere near the US route), and MT 2 (replaced a section of old US 10 from Butte to Three Forks, but nowhere near the US route). 184.166.187.64 (talk) 10:08, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
