By the way, Depolarization is when the membrane potential becomes less negative within the cell. IPSP only make a cell's membrane potential more negative, and will NEVER depolarize. They can cause repolarization or hyper-polarization. If you are confused trying looking up images of "depolarization and repolarization". There are many clear diagrams that show where the two terms fit into the process. Depolarization only occurs due to EPSPs and repolarization/hyperpolarization can occur due to IPSPs. It is more complicated than that, but IPSPs will never cause depolarization.

editHello, I'm Oshwah. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Songs from Les Misérables seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 17:40, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
