The edits do not, in my opinion, constitute vandalism as you two claim. From WP:VGSCOPE #6, the removed content is considered inappropriate for the article to begin with.

Lists of gameplay items, weapons, or concepts. Specific point values, achievements and trophies, time-limits, character moves, character weight classes, and so on are considered inappropriate. Sometimes a concise summary is appropriate if it is essential to understanding the game or its significance in the industry.
