Thanks for saving the copy of the article and its talk page. As you surmised, we might need that research in the future. I have retained both names for the deleted page on my watchlist, so I should know if anyone recreates it. Theoretically we shouldn't need the research, since a recreation would be eligible for speedy deletion per G4, but you never know. Many thanks for your support, I feel that the subject is an interesting fellow, but the decision that he was not a notable interesting fellow was an absolutely correct one. One destination for some of the research might be snopes itself, but this seems a bit harsh maybe. I am contemplating making a start on any article which cites the international biographical centre as an awarding body, from a quick search it seems that there are many many.
