Hi-the Wisconsin State Atlas 1933 citation in the article Center (community), Wisconsin was used as a citation to supplement the Wisconsin DOT Rock County map so that a info box and map can be put in. For some reason the Wisconsin Department of Transportation adds unincorporated communities in the Wisconsin county maps the Wisconsin DOT publishes and there is no GNIS id. For some reason the US Board on Geographic Names is missing many unincorporated communities in the United States. Also I want to encouraged you to sign up for an account with Wikipedia. I am getting the impression that you did not read through this comment. A community can still exist at the same location; yet it may "disappeared" from an atlas and the US Board on Geographic Names may not put an GNIS on it. The unincorporated community of Center in Rock County, Wisconsin is in the same location according to the 1933 Wisconsin State Atlas and the Wisconsin DOT. But at times it does not show up on some maps or atlases. Thank you-RFD (talk) 17:06, 28 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
