Procedures

I am an uninvolved administrator reading Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement#2601:C4:C300:1BD0:4C8F:CA4A:AD98:6994. I would like to inform you about standard procedures. It is surprisingly common that events occur (outside Wikipedia) where observers can see that certain motivation or explanation is likely, but where there is no reliable source which definitively states the motivation/explanation. That happens because events are always complex and determining someone's motivation is almost impossible unless they repeatedly state what has caused them to act the way they did. Accordingly, an article like List of people killed for being transgender is a big problem because whereas it might be "obvious" that someone was killed for a particular reason, articles here do not include original research or unreliable sources. You will have to accept that many transgender killings will not be included in that list because the references are not suitable for Wikipedia. That's how it works here, and those rules apply to every article. The editors reverting you are not transphobic. Johnuniq (talk) 02:58, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
