edit

Hello, I'm 1AmNobody24. I noticed that you recently removed content from Manning Bowl without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.   Please do not add or change content, as you did at Manning Bowl, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Hirolovesswords (talk) 17:21, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yes thank you. That can Absolutely be done. The reliable source is first hand knowledge. I was a coach on that team & saw it with my own eyes. It's a well-known fact in the city of Lynn than Matt McSharry made that play. Which many people would describe as a pivotal moment to jump start his legacy at Lynn English. 2601:19C:4E00:3FF0:D19A:6E44:3C67:2383 (talk) 16:34, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Firsthand knowledge is not acceptable sourcing for Wikipedia content. It needs to be documented somewhere that can be verified, like a news report or published book. 331dot (talk) 16:35, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'll see if I can find the article.
Is photographic evidence sufficient? 2601:19C:4E00:3FF0:D19A:6E44:3C67:2383 (talk) 16:52, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
A photo that you personally took, that identifies an event, would probably be okay(it's possible, but harder, to include if you didn't personally take the photo), but the photo is not a ticket to include a complete personal description of the game as article content. See Files for upload for more information on uploading images. 331dot (talk) 17:07, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
