  Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Jacob Chansley, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. The article needs to specifically support in its content the categories you are adding. Categories need to be a defining characteristic (see WP:CATDEF), especially in a WP:BLP article. This requirement is more stringent for BLP's (see WP:BLPCAT), especially with contentious label categories ButlerBlog (talk) 13:36, 9 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
