edit

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on LGBT rights in Texas. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Isabelle Belato 🏳‍🌈 00:56, 10 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

I get it and I will say I am trying to engage the editor, not sure it is possible. I will walk away. 2600:1700:1111:5940:6981:4A73:C9A6:4D9B (talk) 01:04, 10 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I've also warned the other editor. Isabelle Belato 🏳‍🌈 01:09, 10 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
The other editor just reverted it again :( by definition not here and after a warning. 2600:1700:1111:5940:6981:4A73:C9A6:4D9B (talk) 01:38, 10 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Saying they are WP:NOTHERE in the edit summaries and on the talk page is definitely not appropriate, and does nothing to help deescalate the issue. Isabelle Belato 🏳‍🌈 01:44, 10 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Being an editor requires WP:Competence, some people are incapable of collaboration and WP has a term for them. The term is Not Here. 2600:1700:1111:5940:6981:4A73:C9A6:4D9B (talk) 01:53, 10 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
The appropriate venue to raise these kinds of concerns is at WP:ANI. A thread is currently open discussing this very issue, see WP:ANI#Continuous edit warring, disruptive editing, addition of unsourced content and use of WP:SYNTH by User:Lmharding. This ip came out of nowhere today and starting 3rr waring about removing segments of sourced information blanking and is unwilling to take it to a third opinion noticeboard so I did so. That discussion is off topic to this discussion as this IP is not acting in good faith and blanking which is disruptive editing. It has nothing to do with my actions.02:08, 10 October 2022 (UTC)~ No more reverts will be done by me on LGBT right in Texas until we get a response from a third opinion. 02:24, 10 October 2022 (UTC)

I didn’t come out of nowhere today. I would advise you to revert all of your edits since the 3rr notice. Isabelle stated above you already have a review open at ANI. 2600:1700:1111:5940:6981:4A73:C9A6:4D9B (talk) 02:53, 10 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
