I'm editing for this Wikipedia entry to reflect the true nature of our game of Capoeira. This constant and pathetic attempt from non Afro-Brazilians or people of no African diaspora descent to make Capoeira out to be something that was "Born of the melting pot of enslaved Africans, Indigenous Brazilians and Portuguese influences (Christianity etc.)" is insulting. The fact being it is an art form of resistance born of the subjugation and suffering of the African people and their experiences in a new land. There is no Capoeira without these dynamics. Their music, dance, rhythms, and spirituality. Whether you like it or not, facts are facts. 207.108.72.35 (talk) 01:37, 15 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
