Hello, I'm HansVonStuttgart. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. HansVonStuttgart (talk) 15:27, 10 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Dear HansVonStuttgart, While it may have appeared promotional to you, please give a read to those two reviews published in very high-impact journals that are top in the field. These reviews are the most comprehensive literature on futile cycles and have been peer-reviewed and published by Nature or Cell publishers. These reviews provide the best one-stop information and thus are most relevant and fit best the even existing citations. If you are from the field, open those articles and judge for yourself. If you are not from this field, let an expert decide if common readers should not be referred to these two articles. If you still feel its irrelevant, go ahead and revert the chnages. i am not gonna redo it anymore. 195.176.119.109 (talk) 16:57, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for replying. If your paper has something that is not explained in the Wikipedia article, I encourage you to add that in. Just adding a reference with no explanation does not serve the readers, who could just look up the topic on Google Scholar or something. I'm not reverting your edit for now, but because there is already a reference for the same fact, something in the article needs to change. HansVonStuttgart (talk) 06:30, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Futile cycle. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Adding superfluous references is called WP:REFSPAM and is also not allowed. HansVonStuttgart (talk) 06:47, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
