Re:Broken Sword edit

I'll see what I can do. Broken Sword is a great game; I'm glad to see someone working on its article. I'm preparing to work on Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis as well, but I'll try to do some work on Broken Sword's Plot section. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 22:56, 10 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • I managed to condense the section a bit. My schedule is packed right now, so I won't have time to do a copyediting pass; but I hope I helped. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 21:40, 14 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thank You, yes you have!

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Brown marmorated stink bug, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Main Page appearance: Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars edit

This is a note to let the main editors of Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on October 13, 2013. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask Bencherlite (talk · contribs). You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/October 13, 2013. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:

Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars is a 1996 point-and-click adventure game developed by Revolution Software. The player assumes the role of George Stobbart, an American tourist in Paris, as he unravels a conspiracy. The game takes place in both real and fictional locations in Europe and the Middle East. Charles Cecil (pictured), writer and director of the game, began researching the Knights Templar for the game in 1992. It was built with Revolution's Virtual Theatre engine, which was also used for the company's previous two games. The game is serious in tone, but also features humor and graphics in the style of classic animated films. The million-selling title was critically acclaimed and won various awards. It is regarded as one of the best examples of adventure gaming and many developers have cited it as an influence. After its initial release on Windows, Mac OS, and PlayStation, it was ported to the Game Boy Advance, Palm OS, and Windows Mobile. The game spawned a number of sequels collectively known as the Broken Sword series. From 2009 to 2012, a director's cut version was available for various operating systems. (Full article...)
