August 2020 edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Jo Jorgensen.  — Tartan357  (Talk) 19:50, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

WP:LINEBREAK edit

WP:LINEBREAK makes it clear that the recommended strict formatting is <br />

It is not helpful to change the formatting of line break tags. Please leave linebreak tags alone when you are making helpful changes.

Stripping out spacing and punctuation is not helpful either. (If wiki markup was supposed to be ugly we'd all be using raw XML. Your making the markup harder to read and making it more difficult to see real problems.) You might benefit from reading the essay WP:PERFORMANCE. -- 109.76.205.197 (talk) 04:48, 22 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

So? Some articles don't have it. Are you gonna revert every single of my edit? And you are fixing what's not broken. WP:NOTBROKEN.--170.135.241.45 (talk) 20:56, 23 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

October 2020 edit

Your recent editing history at I Love You, Alice B. Toklas shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Date templates edit

You have accused me of vandalism which I think is unfair. Even if it isn't clear why I reverted your edits I hope you can see there is a big difference between a disagreement over my reverting your an edit, and someone vandalizing a page.

My edit summary was short and the various reasons why I reverted your edits may not have been totally clear. I'd like to take one particular edit and point out one specific problem with that edit in the hope that you might do things differently in future:
When you edited the article Ratanji_Tata you stripped out the spaces and you also changed the birth date to plain text instead of using a template.[1] Date formatting templates make it easier for Wikipedia to automatically translate dates and present them to readers in the date format the reader would prefer. Dates in plaintext cannot be as easily reformatted. The templates are a clear benefit to readers. Wikipedia had terrible arguments in the past over which date formats to use. Date templates are a compromise most people can live with.

Irrespective of your opinion on spacing, indentation or any other markup issues, please try to preserve date formatting templates in future. In the unlikely event you think it is necessary to remove a date template then please clearly explain in your edit summary. -- 109.76.200.104 (talk) 20:12, 24 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

March 2021 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Hepatotoxicity. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Reba16 (talk) 00:05, 20 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

October 2022 edit

Hello, I'm Archer1234. I noticed that you recently removed content from Margaret Teele without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
