Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Across the River and Into the Trees (film), you may be blocked from editing. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

I am one of the lead producers and this page was generated by us. You keep adding incorrect information. Please stop removing my corrections. We have now added a poster which lists the correct cast.

You do not WP:OWN any article on Wikipedia. I added the poster from the film's official website. If you edit or remove information from an article, you MUST provide a reliable source to support your claim. See WP:COIEDIT. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 14:53, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

The company Tribune is our company. The cast listed on the poster is correct. Your edits are disruptive. The film and all artwork is owned by Tribune pictures and all rights are reserved. Please let me have your email address and we can prove cast if need be. Thank you.

"please let me have your email address" No. Provide a reliable source. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 15:03, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

The cast listed on our poster you have taken from our company website is correct. Imdb is also correct and the following press is also correct http://imagazine.it/notizie-trieste-gorizia-udine-friuli/9614 https://www.oggitreviso.it/treviso-buranelli-diventano-set-cinematografico-di-un-film-americano-247562 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5652768/

IMDb is not a reliable source and cannot be cited. You need to provide a source that Giancarlo Giannini is no longer in the cast. The two references you provided simply say who is in the cast, but do not mention Giancarlo Giannini is no longer in the cast. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 15:25, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

We did not contract with him. The poster and our website says who the cast are. Nobody publishes press stating who is NOT cast. We only promote who is cast. All of those sources I listed are correct. I have offered to email you in a professional and standard manner but yet you persist in sticking with old data. I as one of the company officers am telling you directly that he was only an early consideration but was not contracted. I have offered to prove my company identity and have the conversation yet you still deem that insufficient. I don't know what else to do.

Anyone can edit Wikipedia or claim to be someone they are not. I can not take your word for it, even if it is true. In November 2020, a source was released by Variety a month after filming was scheduled to begin, which said Giancarlo Giannini was still part of the cast. As a result, he is included in the article. A reliable source needs to be provided that he was not hired or that he left the production. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 15:35, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

This is not acceptable since the interfering of our page is frustrating the company. Our website is clear about the cast -

see here:

https://tribunepictures.com/across-the-river-and-into-the-trees/

We cannot have incorrect information going out. I have offered to communicate in the correct professional manner ie email and prove my identity yet you are refusing. That would be the fastest and easiest route.

My comments still stand. You must provide a source that says he was not hired or that he left the production. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 15:51, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

He never joined the film - that was press. He did not contract. Danny Huston contracted instead. There is no such document that states he left.

A source is still needed. Even a mention that he was considered to star. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 15:59, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Call the company and ask if you want to be correct: https://tribunepictures.com/

Better still call the lawyer and ask:www.paulhastings.com/professionals/mickeymayerson

No. Provide a source instead. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 16:02, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
There is no source saying he is not attached because he never was. There is plenty of facts mentioning who the cast are. The company is fully bonifide. You felt it ok to help yourself to a poster on the Tribune company website and use it how you wish, yet you wont believe the cast listing by Tribune. Why is that? You do not own wikipedia and you do not own our company and you do not own the film.

Yes imdb is perfectly ok.Wikipedia lists it at the end of all film page entries.

WP:IMDB and WP:IMDB-EL. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 16:42, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

and then it states: 1. "IMDb describes two exceptions, both of which do not require citations because the film itself is implied to be the primary source." 2. The use of IMDb as an external link is generally considered appropriate (see WP:IMDB-EL).

3. The Tribune website clearly tells you who the cast are.

https://www.screendaily.com/news/production-wraps-in-italy-on-the-exchange-efm-sales-title-across-the-river-and-into-the-trees-exclusive/5157661.article This tells you the final cast of the film.

Hello 151.71.32.84. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Across the River and Into the Trees (film), gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:151.71.32.84. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=151.71.32.84|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Amortias (T)(C) 17:52, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

No I am not paid to write on wiki. I am a producer of the above film and we dislike the interferance and false accusations of the individual who keeps hijacking our page.

Regarding "Across the River..."

edit

Hello! I noticed your issues regarding Across the River and Into the Trees. I'm not an avid Wikipedia user, and as such I have noticed that the website is often difficult to navigate or understand, so I thought I'd try and lend a hand to the best of my ability. While I agree that your situation is not paid editing, it likely falls under the larger issue of WP:COI, as you've identified yourself as part of the production. I highly recommend checking out the conflict of interest guide, as I believe following its advice would make it easier to work with experienced editors. I personally think you'll be fine with editing basic information so long as your affiliation is disclosed, but I am not a moderator, so my word holds no weight. Be mindful, and remember to use sources!

Also, I found you through your unsigned comment on the Steven Pruitt article's talk page. Individual users are more likely to respond if you message them on their own talk pages, and his for example can be found here. If you have an issue with a specific user it is generally best to speak with them directly about it on their own talk page, as wikipedia's moderation can be a bit... lax, and forums for discussing these issues are often buried within the community portal. I also recommend signing your talk page comments by adding the four tildes (~~~~) clickable at the bottom of the text box to the end of your post, as lets people know who's saying what and where they can speak to them.

Good luck! — VariousDeliciousCheeses (talk) 17:43, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
