Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. The thread is United States Army Armor School. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 16:31, 19 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Just in case it's not clear: the article United States Army Armor School is an article, it is not the Armor School's page. It does not belong to the Armor School, the U.S. Army, or to the U.S Federal Government at all. Whether the Schools senior leadership approves of edits to it or not is immaterial. Our Conflict of Interest policy clearly indicates, as a matter of fact, that approval of posts by the school's senior leadership is highly discouraged. Every Wikipedia article is supposed to state what has been reported about the article subject by third party reliable sources. It is not a mouthpiece for the article subject. If there is incorrect information that the article subject or those connected to it (such as yourself) want changed, then the proper venue to request changes is the article's talk page. I hope this helps. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 19:10, 19 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
