June 2022 edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Yae4 (talk) 15:18, 4 July 2022 (UTC)"}}Reply

Per Special:Diff/1096624045/1096624551, do you have an undisclosed connection to the GrapheneOS project or user who sent that message? Wikipedia expects editors with a conflict of interest to disclose their connected edits. See WP:DISCLOSE. 84.250.14.116 (talk) 17:48, 5 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Yae4 has openly admitted to having a grudge against GrapheneOS and is openly fabricating stories about it, and nothing is being done despite his long history of biased edits and abusive behavior including harassing people until they leave this site filing all kinds of bogus claims against them. Deal with the person actually touching the article and breaking all kinds of rules. 142.126.170.15 (talk) 18:24, 5 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
First of all, I'm not an administrator here. I'm not entirely sure how to respond to you, but Wikipedia also expects editors to contribute with a neutral point of view, assume good faith of editors and reference statements for them to be verifiable. Wikipedia is also not a place to publish original research. This is particularly true with the Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons policy; see also the Wikipedia:Harassment policy. The statements you're making here and at Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents is mostly unsourced, which makes it difficult or in some cases impossible to verify the claims you're making; for example, I do not understand what this "open admission" may refer to, or if it's misinformation. If you have an undisclosed connection to a subject and thus have access to (biased/unverifiable) knowledge other editors don't have, other editors may not see you express your concern in a neutral and civil manner. I understand if you may have a grudge with a particular Wikipedia editor, but consider civility; inappropriate editor behavior is handled at AN/I. For articles, there's also various dispute resolution mechanisms available on subject articles (such as proposing or opposing changes on the article's talk page). 84.250.14.116 (talk) 19:22, 5 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yae4 is the one repeatedly making baseless accusations of people acting in bad faith, is engaging in pure fabrications and has a personal vendetta. He has a clear personal involvement. If no action is taken on that, the rules are meaningless. It's unfortunate that this site is a place where people like Yae4 can push their views with inaccurate claims they fabricate, through investing more time than anyone else and harassing them with accusations and procedural nonsense filed over and over against anyone who disagrees with them until everyone leaves and they get to push libel and inaccurate claims unchallenged. That is what is happening here, and I have seen the behavior and am responding. I am not editing the article and am not the problem here. 142.126.170.15 (talk) 19:49, 5 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please be careful about what you say to people. Some remarks, such as your addition to Talk:GrapheneOS/Archive 1#2019-2020 Did You Know as precedent? Mistakes and moving on can easily be misinterpreted, or viewed as harassment. Wikipedia is a supportive environment, where contributors should feel comfortable and safe while editing. See WP:HOUND. 84.250.14.116 (talk) 21:20, 5 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

It's not harassment to describe what is openly being done... but it certainly is sad that Wikipedia is infested with astroturfing and biased editing by a small and highly active group of people who scare away others from contributing and flagrantly violate the rules they list off at others. Yae4 is openly engaging in a feud against GrapheneOS and has spent years ruining that article. They do the same elsewhere. 142.126.170.15 (talk) 00:12, 6 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Take a moment to consider what I said about undisclosed connections earlier. You're also welcome to participate in discussions constructively. Focus discussion on the merits of the edit on an article talk page, not the behaviors of a particular editor (user behavior goes to AN/I). 84.250.14.116 (talk) 21:28, 5 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Again, it's very clear what is happening here with their behavior across articles and covering it up and it's an embarrassment for Wikipedia that this is how the platform works. It's only a good source of astroturfed biased content from whoever invests the most effort in pushing their views or those they are paid to push. 142.126.170.15 (talk) 00:12, 6 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
