Why did my page get a block

edit

Why is noone responding, my page was blocked, i havnt made any edits yet

Um, no-one's blocked your page. Your username, while probably not an appropriate one, is not blocked (see here), and neither is the IP 130.108.192.178 - which, incidentally, didn't have any recent blocking notices on it until you added them. Do you have another username, or are you talking about an article, or what? Confusing Manifestation 06:34, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

No i was talking about my user name, no articles.

What username? Like I said, this one isn't blocked (yet). Confusing Manifestation 06:36, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

No it defenitly has a block. I cant edit anything and a block template comes up say "indefinite" amount of time. Im not sure what i did? I am not mad, im just confused. --130.108.192.178I 06:41, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

the block says 'username'should i change my username, what is wrong with this one, or does that block title mean something else

Decline reason:

If you aren't editing from 130.108.192.178, then why did you attempt to tamper with User_talk:130.108.192.178. Further attempts to vandalize or disrupt Wikipedia may result in an abuse report being filed with your univeristy IT department. --  Netsnipe  ►  07:17, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

OK, having looked at the block log again (got a little confused as to how to use it, sorry) - you've been blocked indefinitely for having a bad username, which means you're unlikely to get unblocked. You username, 130.108.192.178I, is too similar to the IP address of Wright State University, 130.108.192.178 - see? As such, it violates our username policy, and so you need to choose a better username. Incidentally, I hope it's appreciated that I'm assuming a lot of good faith on your behalf, since all the recent contributions by either you or the WSU IP address could be, and in some cases have been, taken as either vandalism, threats of vandalism, or trolling. I'd suggest you read up on some of the core policies to make sure you are actually making a positive contribution to Wikipedia in the future. Confusing Manifestation 06:49, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Of course, if you really are editing from that IP address, you're going to have to wait a while, since it's been blocked from account creation for the moment too, again for trolling. Confusing Manifestation 06:51, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

no im not editing from that ip number, thanks for the help, ill change my name. Thanks again.
