Spaces edit

Hello. Since I can't answer on my talkpage, let's talk here. Thank you very much for your comment and suggestions. I got it and I will try to follow that.--Filmomusico (talk) 03:33, 5 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Why can't you reply on your own talk page? That does not make any sense.
If you have any reasons for stripping out spaces I'm willing to hear/read them. You might be interested to read the essay Wikipedia:Don't worry about performance
If you create your own new articles you can enforce a layout style and ask others to maintain the style you have set but otherwise you should show other editors the respect you'd like them to show you, and take the article layout you find into consideration before you go reformatting things without a good reason.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my comments. -- 109.78.204.92 (talk) 03:41, 5 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ok. Wikipedia:IAR. Please stop edit warring on my talk page. It is disruptive.--Filmomusico (talk) 05:56, 5 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
That's not how Wikipedia:IAR works, that rule does not mean what you might think it means, and it is a lot less helpful than seems at first. You will learn in time that it rarely applies, and you can ignore the rules only if ultimately it improves articles and makes for a better encyclopedia. You would still need to explain further why your edits were an improvement or why the rules don't apply.
Also that is not how edit warring works either. I restored the comment because you did not respond and almost immediately did exactly what the comment asked you not to do. You can delete comments from your talk page WP:REMOVE but "it is normally taken to mean that the user has read and is aware of its contents" but by doing exactly the same thing it was not clear you had read and understood the comment. I was merely trying to get you to discuss the matter. I would have preferred if you had replied on your talk page but when you replied here I responded here instead.
You seem to be new and learning fast, that's good, keep it up. I'm old and have been doing this a while, and I still check back on some of my favorite articles like The Rocketeer (film) to see if things need to be fixed up again. The rules keep changing so even old editors need to keep learning, sometimes you will know new rules that older editors don't know and you will need to explain why you are doing things in a particular way. It is all a lot simpler if you discuss and explain your reasons instead of deleting other peoples comments. Best of luck, happy editing. -- 109.76.136.175 (talk) 17:41, 5 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Telling other editors to "Get lost"[1] is not helpful or constructive and if you disagree you should still at least try explain why but you have clearly gone right back to doing what I asked you not to do and are again stripping spaces from articles for no apparent reason.[2][3]

Since you already accused me of edit warring merely for asking you to explain yourself, I am going to have to dig into the Wikipedia rules to see how else I can ask you to stop. -- 109.76.129.242 (talk) 17:31, 6 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
The stripping of spaces by Filmomusico would seem to be a violation of WP:STYLEVAR which states - "editors should not change an article from one styling to another without substantial reason". -- 109.76.129.242 (talk) 17:41, 6 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

User:Filmomusico edit

Hi there. As Filmomusico cannot help themselves in removing spaces from infoboxes (and leaving out or outright removing parameters that they don't have information for), if you find any more editors doing this, there's a good chance they'll be a sockpuppet of Mishae/Biografer/Filmomusico, so it may be helpful to ping NinjaRobotPirate, Oshwah or Sergecross73 to get their attention, or failing that, come to my talk page and I'll tell one of them myself. Also, you could file an SPI at WP:SPI under Mishae with the evidence. Thanks. Ss112 23:55, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
