Protecting pages

If you want a page protected from editing, you can file a request on Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. The template {{editprotected}} is actually used to request an admin make a change to a page that is already protected. Looking at the history of the Gaylord, Minnesota article, it is likely that a request would be denied due to insufficient recent vandalism. Protection is generally only granted when vandalism reaches a point that normal editing of an article is disrupted. - auburnpilot talk 16:50, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
