Re: Your edits to Christopher Hitchens.

edit

I have reverted your edit on the article of Christopher Hitchens, per your claim that the reference made no mention he had “equal contempt” for Franjo Tuđman. The first reference I checked from Slate, penned by Hitchens states: "He (Slobodan Milošević) made a secret agreement with his equally disgusting counterpart Franjo Tudjman of Croatia for a sort of Stalin-Hitler carve-up of Bosnia, and thus empowered the very Croatian extremists who later turned on Serb civilians." That is clearly equal contemp. "equally disgusting counterpart." Anyway, why would you remove the referenced section that had to do with Milošević if your issue was merely with the phrasing about Tuđman? ExRat (talk) 22:00, 3 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Look I had reached out to you on your talk page so I don’t understand this what seems like suspicions as if I am being a vandal. I reached out for you to verify if I am missing something some part. Evidently I did and accepted it as i had said to begin with. Stating “wrong” on your edit explanation just seems harsh, sheesh. I removed the sources considering they didn’t seem relevant if they were inserted for that part. I removed the ones for Milosovic as well as it seemed like the part about him was being over the top as well. So was planning to address it next. Milosovic is popular in a negative sense by the Western lenses. Serbs mostly and secondly Croats are shown negative in western pop culture. Yes just my view in it or absolute fact, I get that. I assumed that may have been what went on a year back when this information was added. The paragraph wasn’t always there. Of course that aline is not the reason why I had an issue. But if you deem it all in order with the sourcing I trust you being that I can see you are heavily involved on Wikipedia and therefore a seasoned editor. Though I see you mostly deal with Estonian or Baltic topics jot Balkan hehe. Just a joke, mean nothing by it just play on words. Was surprised tho that intervened on this topic considering that. I take it you deal with potential vandalism? Not my intention by the way. I that wasn’t that you were thinking perhaps. I didn’t mean to be. Across the different IP address Wikipedia gives me, I have been called Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Slovenian, Bulgarian, Albanian biased, you name it. My motive is trying to see if the sources say what they say. Many times I was found to be correct but this time you were correct here. I appreciate you verifying. Really I do.
I didn't think you were being a vandal. I just didn't understand why you were deleting referenced material from articles. It's all good. No worries. ExRat (talk) 18:15, 4 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
