Cats

edit

Cats are amazing creatures. They have a very good sense of hearing and smell. Their hearing and their smell may not be as good as dogs, but these fur-babies still make wonderful pets. Not all cat breeds are the cuddly type you may be looking for, but most of them are. Ragdoll cats purr when you pick them up, Persian cats love napping in your laps, Siamese cats give you lots of rubs, and a few other cats have adorable ways of showing affection. Cats like Ragdolls, Persians, and Siamese are pretty cuddly, but other cats like Singapuras and Korats may not be the best cats to adopt. These cats don't show that much affection, and for some reason tend to have anger issues. Abyssinian cats are neither cuddly, nor aggressive. They will show you affection, but its not likely that they will cuddle in your laps. One reason why many people tend to like dogs more than cats is because dogs are more playful and energetic. Some cats may show these traits too, but they usually like laying in the sun instead of going for a run. If you are the energetic type, you may choose a dog as your pet since they love to go for walks, but choosing a cat, like an Abyssinian for example, may also be a good choice. Abyssinians are a very energetic breed of cat, which is why you would often see them zooming around your house at 3:00 A.M. Abyssinians are also the smartest cats in the world. Their IQ is lower than a dog's IQ, but is still higher than most cats IQ. Even though Abyssinian cats seem pretty smart, they are not smart enough to do your homework for you, so don't even think about giving your Abyssinian cat a sheet of paper asking the square root of 10. They will just lay on your homework and may even do a 1 or 2 on it. Other smart cat breeds include: Siamese cats, Burmese cats, Bengal cats, Cornish Rex cats, and Scottish Fold cats. There are many other smart breeds of cats, but these are some of the more popular ones. Another great thing about cats is that they are known to relieve stress. If you come home from work or school with a headache, just cuddle with your cat and who knows, maybe he/she will start purring and make you feel better. Cats' purrs not only relieve stress, but also cure sicknesses. Cats can detect when their owner is sick or hurt, and may come to you and purr to make you feel better. Cats can also detect other things like when their owner is happy, and even when their owner is about to pass away. That is why they may visit you when you're in bed. They visit you to make sure you enjoy your last moments of life if you are about to pass away, or they visit you to cure you if you are sick or hurt.
