From my research, over 100 channels have either sister stations, or semi satellites. Like KCWY from Casper. This is an nbc company. It has it's studio in Casper, but transferers in other Wyoming citys.
A sister station (and/or semi-satellite) is a station that has transmitters for people in a certain town could watch the same thing, even though they might be far from the parent town. Casper has KCWY-DT, Casper's nbc sister, Cheyenne has the same virtual number (Cable channel 13.2) (Dish channel 11.0), but has call number KCHY.
