Target (2013 TV series)

Target is a 2013 US television sitcom on Onivia. It will air in summer 2013 and will consist of 13 episodes. It is based entirely off of the SNL Skit, Target Lady. It will not star Kristen Wiig or anyone else who stars on Saturday Night Live. The first three episodes are considered joined pilots so they can introduce the characters and their personalities.

  • Onivia bought a three-part pilot called Target: The Show on June 10, 2013.
  • Onivia called for the series to have 12 to 13 episodes for a complete Season One.
  • The show wrapped up filming the first episode on June 10, 2013.
  • The first official trailer for the show would air on YouTube in early Fall 2013.
  • The first episode will air in late 2013.
  • On July 2, 2013, the series was put on hiatus by Onivia.
  • As of July 16, 2013, only two episodes have been filmed.
  • On July 22, 2013, the series was picked up for a full season that would starting airing for the TV season in Fall.
  • Devaud Antiguai, the executive producer announced that Target will have multiple crossovers with his first game show that would air consecutively with the series. He also stated that they would film 100 episodes of the new game show and 20 episodes of Target before it starts to air.
  • On August 14, 2013, Antiguai claimed that his announcement about filming 100 episodes of his new game show was false and that Target would air long before the game show.
  • On August 19, 2013, Antiguai announced that Kierko was going to film an unannounced episode later that day and that more episodes were to come.
  • Devaud also stated that they were going to film at least 25 episodes before the September 3 due date with only 2 completed. He said he hopes he can still have a September premiere date.
  • On September 19, 2013, 1 month after Devaud said he hoped for a September airdate, he announced that the series was moving "extremely slowly". Also stating "only 4 episodes have been filmed and edited with 1 not being edited."
  • Later, he stated that the series would be re-branded under the new "Zach Cierzan Productions" label.
  • On November 25, 2013, over 2 months after the proposed airdate, the series was officially put on hiatus by Onivia. The CEO of Onivia confirmed it and announced the series would air during the summer duration of 2014.
