User:Yashovardhan Dhanania/welcome vandal

Firstly, I'd take this moment to welcome you, the vandal, to Wikipedia! I know what you're probably thinking at this moment, why am I welcoming you? Well it's simple, we at Wikipedia assume good faith! That is, we always assume that you're here for a good purpose, even though your only edit is replacing a footballer's biography with abusive words all over! Sounds good, doesn't it? But wait until you do it a couple more times and we'll easily block you!

We know who you are

edit

The first thing new inexperienced vandal think is that they are anonymous especially if they don't have an account. But you're so so wrong! We know who you are! We know your IP address if you haven't created an account yet and can block your IP as well!
what does this mean?
It means we can find out who exactly you are, where do you stay, who is your spouse and which school your children go to! Well, not exactly that but you should get the idea now.
The moral of this story is that if you think you're just a random no. On the internet, you're wrong! And you're wrong by a big margin! Your Whois report can tell us who is your ISP, where you're using the internet from and even which desktop you used at your school lab! These reports just need your IP address which is, by the way, publicly displayed on Wikipedia by you, when you vandalise here and we can trace it back to you if needed. Generally, if you're using a school or a corporate network, your whois report even told us the name of the Institute. It makes our work really easy by even giving contact details like email IDs to contact them to report abuse, and don't worry, your school can figure out who you are among the thousand odd students at the lab! You get the idea.

So, what to do?

edit

Depends. If you came here just to test out whether you can really edit the encyclopedia used by millions of people online, congratulations! You were successful. Now create an account (if you haven't already) and start with fighting other vandals! You know, just like someone reverted your edit and sent you a warning which made you think over it, well, exactly that!
Alternatively, we have a lot of stuff you can do like create new articles about the new famous restaurant that opened next door or fixing typos in current articles. You can do a lot of work here, and trust me, you'll get addicted!
However, if your sole purpose was to show your friend what a big hacker you are and you changed a Wikipedia article for a second to your favorite curse word, show it to a few more friends until you ultimately get blocked! And we will make sure you can't even create an account now!
Well, if you're not sure, you can get in touch with any of our editors (even me!) and we will help you. Trust me when I say this, we'll help you better than your old car mechanic did!
