Autoassessment process

The bot looks for a {{stub}} template on the article or inherits the rating from other WikiProject banners.

For some projects, a stub rating is given for articles under a particular byte length (typically below 2500 bytes).

Certain projects also request the importance rating to be set by a category key (example).

Human editors should check the ratings for accuracy and remove the following bot advisories -

|auto=yes   |auto=inherit   |auto=length   |autoi=yes

The table below indicates how the bot normally makes a decision. Individual WikiProjects may request higher or lower levels of confidence.

only one rating available two or more available auto-stub/inherit conflict notes
default checkY if only a single rating is available checkY if they all agree ☒N do not assess CHI · TOR · BIO · &c.
liberal checkY if only a single rating is available checkY most frequent (highest when tied) SONGS
conservative ☒N do not assess checkY if they all agree ☒N do not assess IND
