History

Early in January 2000, Tom Jason L. Caperiña (Alpha Zeta) and Larry Pontigon Jr. (Eta Theta) an unritualized brothers of Alpha Phi Omega, and a Student of AMA Computer University, who took their dedication to extend their hands of friendship in welcoming applicants/ fellow students into the circle where service is rendered unabashedly and leadership is offered without hubris as well as a key to understand the true meaning of " brotherhood of man", and with the leadership of Sta. Cruz Alpha Phi Omega Alumni Association (SCAPO-AA) who served as the founders.

On May 28, 2000 the first final was conducted under Bro. Israel Ricardo A. Somera who served as the first Prime Chancellor, there were three(3) fraternity Perry Magpily , Patrick Paglinawan and Dennis Flores and one (1) sorority Marklane Suarez who survived and they named their group " Unang Sibol" as a pioneering batch of this generation.

After all the sacrifices and hard works of the SCAPO-AA, Israel Ricardo "Ace" Somera, Reynaldo Montano who was our RDD, the Set of Chapter Officers and Chapter members the group was finally given a charter and entered into the registry of recognized chapters of Alpha Phi Omega asLambda Iota Chapter, On December 14, 2002, Saturday at San Andres St., Malate, Manila during the National Executive Board Meeting (NEB) D.Y. 2001-2003 Chaired by President Bro Blo Umpar Adiong.
