I grew up all over South Africa as my parents moved every 5 years, but the latter part of my school carreer was in Vereeniging, Transvaal (now Gauteng). I have a Computer Engineering Degree from Potchefstroom University, before they changed their name. I now live in Centurion, Gauteng

I joined the English Wikipedia at the end of July 2005. Shortly after I discovered the Afrikaans version of the Wiki and since then I have spent most of my time translating articles to Afrikaans and expanding the Afrikaans Wikipedia.
I still do some work on disambiguation. I try to fix at least 20 ambiguous links per day, from what ever is at the top of the list. If in the process I come across an article that needs some attention, or a red-link I can fix, I will help out with that as well.
