'Wolf Ashkenazi' is a nom-de-plume of published writer Russell G. This nom-de-plume was taken in honor of his great uncle, a university professor who was brutally lynched in the Proskurov (now Khmelnyitski) Pogrom of February 15, 1919. Russell G.'s primary areas of concentration are historical non-fiction and political analysis. He is also a medical school trained Acupuncture Physician, a retired Criminal and Civil Defense attorney, and a popular former faculty member at Rutgers--The State University of New Jersey, Graduate School of Management. He has represented clients unknown, famous, and infamous, including Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, JoAnn Chesimard, the Black Liberation Army, Bendix Aerospace, Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co., Travelers' Insurance Co., Interstate Insurance Co. and many more during his 22 years of practice. He gave up the practice of law in 2002 after the tragic murder of his wife, who was shot dead in his presence by a gunman who was targeting Mr. Ashkenazi. He has five children, ages 22-37 years.
