Bill Wilson,semi-retired newspaper editor,is an officer in a volunteer fire company and served in various capacities in local government (Nether Providence Township) and is a public information officer for the EPA section (W3EMA) of the America Radio Relay League. He lives in Folcroft, Pennsylvania and San Miguel de Allende,GTO,Mexico.
In addition to his journalism background, he served as a legislative liaison in the administration of the late Gov. Robert P. Casey of Pennsylvania and has held government and public affairs positions in health care and transportation. Wilson also was a staffer with the House and Senate State Government Committees. While in Bristol Township and Nether Providence he served on various boards and commissions and also in various fund raising and public affairs capacities.
He worked for several daily newspapers as a reporter, photographer, wire editor, business editor, photo editor as well as Sunday Editor and City editor. He has worked on three different business magazines, and was New York Editor for the weekly Iron Age magazine (Chilton). He also served as a Community Leader for AOL's News Channel and has contributed op-ed pieces to various daily and weekly newspapers.
His father, the late William G. Wilson, was a noted newsreel and sports photographer and his brother, Robert, is also a photojournalist. He currently writes and contributes photographs for Atencion, a bilingual newspaper in San Miguel de Allende as well as The News of Mexico City. He is also a volunteer copy editor and proofreader. Wilson and his wife, Jacquelyn are member of Swarthmore Monthly Meeting (Religious Society of Friends)
