In a world where hearsay is sometimes assumed to be news; rumors spread at the speed of electromagnetic waves; vendettas, agendas, and politics work hard on outright changing, or at least twisting or reframing, facts and figures; logical fallacies in verbal and written communication are on the rise, and no one seems to be exempt, not even professors and Ph.D. holders, not you or me, some of us have to work hard on double-checking the accuracy and objectivity of "facts" stated on the pages of the most popular reference portal in the world today.
